Whether you are a frequent book club attendee or joining for the first time, this program offers a relaxed space to share thoughts, hear different perspectives, and connect with fellow readers. Plant Miniatures Workshop with Elise Hooper

Join Galveston Reads 2026 author Elise Hooper to make a 1:12 miniature plant in a pot. In this fun, hands-on workshop, you will learn how to create a snake plant, monstera, or pothos out of everyday objects like masking tape, wire, paint, and recycled objects. The finished result is the perfect little plant that doesn’t need to be watered and is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Materials are provided. Registration is required.

Galveston Reads 2026 Author Visit – Elise Hooper

The Rosenberg Library and Galveston Reads is proud to welcome acclaimed author, Elise Hooper, to speak on her book, The Library of Lost Dollhouses. Join us at the Galveston College Seibel Wing at 1 PM for her keynote speech, followed by a 15 minute Q&A, and 2 PM book signing. Refreshments will be served! Be sure to sign up, as spots are limited.

Events are free and open to the public; volunteers are welcome.
